1. Overview
Finance Notebook Publisher is a personal, single-user application. It uses YouTube API Services and accesses YouTube data only after the owner gives explicit authorization through Google OAuth.
Finance Notebook Publisher is an independent personal automation tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or YouTube.
2. Google and YouTube Data Accessed
youtube.upload
Acting for the authorized user, this scope permits the application to upload videos, configure video metadata, configure visibility, and upload thumbnails.
youtube.readonly
This scope permits the application to read the limited YouTube data needed for its functions: the authenticated channel identity, channel metadata necessary for verification, uploaded video metadata, video IDs, titles, and publishing or privacy status.
The application uses that data to authenticate the intended channel, detect duplicate uploads, verify upload results, and verify publishing status.
3. OAuth Credentials
OAuth refresh tokens and access tokens are stored only on the owner's local Linux computer. They are not placed in the public website directory, are not committed to source control, and are not intentionally written to application logs. OAuth credentials are not sold or transferred to third parties.
4. How Data Is Used
Google user data is used only to authenticate the owner's channel, upload owner-created videos, set owner-selected metadata, detect duplicate uploads, and verify upload and publishing state.
Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, surveillance, or any unrelated purpose.
5. Data Sharing
No Google user data is sold, rented, shared with advertisers, or transferred to unrelated third parties. This does not exclude the communication with Google and YouTube API Services that is necessary to perform an authorized application function.
6. Data Storage and Retention
API data is retained only as necessary for the stated application functionality. Transient API responses do not need to be retained permanently. Stored API data is deleted or refreshed according to applicable YouTube API Services policies.
Authorization data is not intentionally retained after the owner revokes access. Authorized Data subject to revocation or deletion will be removed as soon as reasonably possible and no later than seven calendar days after revocation or a valid deletion request, subject to applicable YouTube API Services policies and legal requirements.
7. Revoking Access
The owner can revoke Finance Notebook Publisher's access from the third-party connections or security permissions section of the owner's Google Account. Visit Google Account third-party access and security permissions, locate Finance Notebook Publisher, and remove its access.
For the complete local cleanup procedure, see Data Deletion & OAuth Revocation.
8. Deleting Local Data
The owner can delete the application's locally stored OAuth authorization data and any YouTube API data stored by the application.
Deleting data stored by Finance Notebook Publisher does not delete videos or other data stored by YouTube. YouTube-hosted content must be managed through YouTube or another authorized YouTube API Client.
9. Cookies and Tracking
This public website does not use analytics, does not display advertising, does not use tracking cookies, and does not use tracking pixels.
10. Security
The public website is provided over HTTPS. Application credentials are stored locally and protected with file permission controls. Credentials are not stored in the public web root.
11. Google API Services User Data
Finance Notebook Publisher's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.
12. Third-Party Policies
