Finance Notebook Publisher is a personal, single-user, locally hosted automation tool. It uploads financial news summary MP4 videos created by the owner to the owner's own YouTube channel.
For each upload, the application can set the title, description, category, audience designation, visibility, and custom thumbnail. It confirms the upload and publishing result after processing and checks for an existing video with the same exact title to prevent duplicate uploads.
The application is currently intended only for use by its owner and is not offered as a public SaaS product.
YouTube API usage
Finance Notebook Publisher uses YouTube API Services.
The application requests only the OAuth scopes needed for its publishing and verification functions:
youtube.readonly
This scope is used only to:
- verify the authenticated YouTube channel;
- check for an existing exact-title upload;
- prevent duplicate uploads; and
- verify final publishing status.
