Data Deletion and OAuth Revocation
Last updated: August 27, 2026
Finance Notebook Publisher is a personal, single-user, locally hosted application. The owner can revoke Google and YouTube authorization and remove locally stored application data by following the steps below.
Revoke Google / YouTube authorization
- Open Google Account Security settings for third-party access and permissions.
- Locate the third-party connection for Finance Notebook Publisher.
- Revoke or remove the application's access.
- Once access is revoked, Finance Notebook Publisher must no longer use that authorization.
Delete locally stored authorization data
The OAuth token used by this single-user application is stored locally on the owner's Linux computer. The owner can remove the application's local OAuth token and locally stored YouTube API cache or data. The token itself is never displayed on this public website.
Authorized Data associated with revoked consent will be removed as soon as reasonably possible and within seven calendar days, which is within the applicable YouTube API policy deadline.
YouTube-hosted data
Deleting local application data does not delete videos or other content stored by YouTube.
To delete videos or other content hosted by YouTube, use YouTube directly or another formally authorized YouTube API Client.
